Barney is a gorgeous young lad who has been in kennels for quite a while and we have been asked to help find him a forever home. Barney is strong on his lead however this could be due to being in kennels. He will need someone who is strong enough to handle him until he has the basic lead skills through training.
Barney has spend Christmas and new year in a home and has proven to be the perfect house guest. Barney is toilet trained and hasn't had an accident in the home. He is also able to be left for a few hours without issue. His foster is gutted that he can't keep longer term however due to a change in his circumstances we are now needing to move him. Barney loves to play with toys however can get over excited and can misjudge where your hand is so someone ho is able to understand this and tach him boundaries with this. Barney is polite around food and will sit and wait for his own food and doesn't beg for his foster food either. Barney is still very strong on his lead so does still need someone strong and fit enough to work on this with him. Barney has been reacting to dogs which at the minute we don't know if this is lead frustration or not so is being muzzle trained so that we can safely introduce him to other dogs in a controlled manor. barney really is a delight and his foster really is gutted that he couldn't keep him. Barney could do well with direct access to a garden to run off his excess energy however if you meet all his other requirements we could potentially rehome to a home without an enclosed garden.
Barney is great with people and takes treats nicely and will make a great companion for the right home. We would prefer child free though due to Barneys size.
