The adoption donation helps us to provide the vet care and boarding the dog has while in our care and all dogs being rehomed will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Disclaimer: We do not place our dogs in a foster home with any children under the age of 5 and we do not place our dogs in an adopted home with any children under the age of 8 due to the unknown history of the dog's life.
There may be exceptions dependent on if the dog’s history is known. We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience.
We aim to respond to enquiries within 5 working days but as the rescue is often at full capacity and is ran entirely by volunteers please be patient with us. Dogs available for Foster/Adopt

Dolly
Breed: Jagd terrier
Age: 18 months approx
Vaccinated: Yes
Microchipped: Yes
Neutered: Yes
Dog friendly: No
Cat friendly: No
Small furries: No
Children: not tested
Dolly is very pretty and gentle dog in the house (most of the time). She is great at being a heavy blanket for you in the evenings.
She is super active but really happy to play games in the garden or the house. That tires her out and makes her brain work.
She will need someone who will have the energy to continue her training and help her to socialise as she currently lunges and yelps at dogs when out. She has come a long way though in the few weeks her fosters have had her.
She can get almost completely dry with one shake and although she is not that keen on grooming and the bath, she will tolerate it.
Her fosters have been doing a lot of games based training with Dolly. She has an idea of threshold and can wait for permission to go out of the door. She can do sit, down, middle, side, recall (when not distracted) and wait. But anyone who takes her on will need to continue with lots of training games.
She is very alert when she is out and scans constantly for prey or potential friends. For this reason, her fosters have not been taking her on long walks as we don’t want her to rehearse pulling or ignoring us. Instead they have been doing lots of fun training games in the garden or near to the house and gradually trying to extend this space out. She is a bright little thing and loves the games so hopefully whoever takes her on will see progress very soon.
She does yelp and lunge at other dogs but we think this is just that she hasn’t been properly socialised.
She is super fit and has bionic back legs. She would be amazing at flyball or agility or canacross.
Dolly is crate trained and can spend a couple of hours in the crate. She goes through the night but will wake at around six. She is mostly clean in the house but does the odd political whoopsie if she feels you have been somewhere she has not. Best to get her straight out when she needs the toilet. She will go almost on demand which is another incredible skill. She asks to go out by very gently placing her paws on your thighs and looking deeply into your eyes.
We have been training Dolly to enjoy chewing on her toys rather than giving us puppy bites. When she gets the zoomies she can become a bit mouthy but is easily distracted with a toy.
If you feel you can offer Dolly her forever home please complete our enquiry form and someone will get back to you. https://www.anydogildorescue.org/adoption-enquiry-form.html

Dog friendly:Yes- can be nervous with some dogs
Cat friendly: No
Child friendly: Resident children 10 years +

She has been great with most dogs however can be worried by some so an owner who can help Dusty build her confidence when out would be great. Once you have Dusty's trust she's a very sweet and affectionate young lady.

Max
Breed: Akita
Age: About 2 years.
Sex: Male
Neutered: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
Microchipped: Yes
Children: No. Adult only
Cats: No
Dogs: Fine meeting dogs on leash on walks.
Description
Max is a typical, young, strong akita lad who likes his own space.
We absolutely need someone who knows his breed well. So an Akita experienced home only please.
Max cannot go to an inexperienced home as there has been an incident in a home which resulted in someone being bitten.
Max is impeccably behaved in kennels and loves long walks with our volunteers where there has never been any problems.
He walks well and sits and takes treats gently.
He has always been fine walking past and meeting other dogs on his walks.
He may be able to live with a well rounded dog of similar breed and size. With careful introductions in the home.
Max would make an ideal companion for someone who loves the great outdoors and has perhaps lost their beloved Akita and needs a new walking partner to explore with.
He prefers a hands off approach in the home where he can chill undisturbed after a long hike. Although Max is a friendly boy on walks he definitely is NOT a cuddly lap dog as he enjoys his own space.
If you feel you have the experience Max needs. Please follow the link
http://www.anydogildorescue.org/fostering-enquiry-form.html and fill out a foster form, giving all relevant experience.
Once in foster we will pay for a behaviourist to visit your home to offer one to one support to give Max the best chance of success in his foster home with view to his foster carer adopting him.

Ace
Age: 1 year approx
Breed: malinois
Microchip: Yes
Neutered: Will be done in foster
Vaccinated: Yes
Dog friendly:Yes- can be nervous with some dogs
Cat friendly: Will give chase
Child friendly: Resident children 10 years +
Garden: Not essential
Ace is a wonderful lad who has spent some time in a foster however he's becoming more interested in the resident cats and is unfair to keep him there. His foster is devastated as he is a super sweet cuddly boy. Ace is still very much a puppy and will mouth when playing so we are looking for a home with older children. He loves playing with toys though and encouraging him to play with these rather than your hands is getting there with consistency. Ace has been badly neglected before coming to us and so is very thin however his foster family have been doing brilliant at slowly building Aces weight and strength. He also has a skin complaint at the minute that requires medicated baths every other day however this is not contagious so is fine to be around other dogs. Ace loves his food whether it's intended for him or not and so his new home will need to put in management to reduce stealing food he shouldn't have or from raiding the bin. Ace isn't used to bikes or runners and so needs some training to understand that this is fine to walk past. Ace has been ok being left for short spells however this will need to be built up slowly with him in his new home. Ace is a super lad and we know that he will be an amazing addition to an experienced home.
if you feel you can give Ace the home he deserves please complete the following form giving as much information as you can as to why you feel you are the right match for this very special lad. http://www.anydogildorescue.org/fostering-enquiry-form.html
