Your Enquiry:
Please read the profiles carefully and only apply for the dog, or dogs, that match your circumstances. To apply for adoption please complete an enquiry form and provide as much information as possible so we can make sure you are the most suitable match. Information we need on the application includes a valid email address and contact number, home address and information about your home life like working hours, children (living in and visiting the home) and any other pets or regular animal visitors.
The adoption donation is £250 per dog - we will also provide a £50 contribution towards the neutering of puppies and any dog unable to be neutered prior to rehoming; this will be paid direct to the vet of your choice. The adoption donation helps us to provide the vet care and boarding the dog has while in our care and all dogs being rehomed will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Disclaimer: We do not place our dogs in a foster home with any children under the age of 5 and we do not place our dogs in an adopted home with any children under the age of 8 due to the unknown history of the dog's life.
There may be exceptions dependent on if the dog’s history is known. We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience.
We aim to respond to enquiries within 5 working days but as the rescue is often at full capacity and is ran entirely by volunteers please be patient with us. We try to get back to all enquiries in due course. More photos and updates about the rescue and our dogs is available from our facebook and twitter pages.

SPECIAL FUNDRAISER
We have currently got a special fundraiser for two of our pound dogs who are needing extensive vet treatments. These dogs were both due to be put to sleep due to no one claiming them and coming forward as being their owner. We didn't expect to find such trauma had happened with these wee souls and we are doing everything in our power to save and ensure the wee souls have a pain free, happy life. These two dogs are Fran who is a dachshund and Harvey and jack Russell.
Little Fran came to us with another dachshund however she was also hiding a horror from her past. She had a stick wedged between her teeth that had been there for some time causing the roof of her mouth to decay away. She has been left with a large hole that goes to her airways meaning she cannot eat or drink normally. She is currently in foster being fed and watered through a tube that goes to her oesophagus (o-tube) several times a day. She has already had one corrective surgery which sadly was not successful due to infections. The infection has now cleared and she is being given some time for any remaining infection to clear up and to put a bit of weight on before we look at trying reconstructive surgery for a second time. The second wee soul is Harvey. He came in with double cherry eye which we had corrected at the vets however something wasn't right and so the vets did X-rays where it was discovered that Harvey had broken both his legs at somepoint and these had healed incorrectly and so he now has bone rubbing on bone every time he walks causing discomfort and pain. He is going to need an operation to correct this and will require loads of TLC after this to ensure that everything heals correctly this time. He is in an amazing foster home who is getting Harvey ready for his massive operation to try and correct what his previous humans did not do. We currently have a just-giving page (www.justgiving.com/page/stacey-mcewan-1690146096084?utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content=page%2Fstacey-mcewan-1690146096084&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=pfp-share ) running and we are getting very close to our target now but any further help really would be appreciated to ensure that we can care for these wee toots and all the other dogs in our care. |
