Isn’t he gorgeous!
Well, yes he is but he is also very challenging! He’s not had the best start in life and this can cause him to react when things are not quite right.
He is very vocal and will bark or growl when he isn’t sure but this can be corrected if you follow the behaviourist training.
He is very easy to train as he loves his food and his toys. Fetch is his favourite pastime but you need to get the balance right to not over-stimulate him.
He does not like strange noises or loud bangs, so if you live in a noisy neighbourhood or get fireworks near your home then he may not be the best dog for you.
He also has lots of other triggers that we can discuss in more detail if you think you are the right fit for this gorgeous boy.
Despite his challenges, Sky is a sensitive and loyal dog who can be affectionate, once trust is built. He does best with kind, reward-based training and people who respect his boundaries and move at his pace.
He needs a calm, patient home to help him feel safe. He will require ongoing training, consistency, and support from someone experienced with terriers or reactive dogs.
He will need to be the only dog in the home.
We will also need several introductions in order that Sky can build a rapport with you before he can be rehomed.
To offer Sky a new home please complete our Adoption Enquiry Form giving as much information as you can on why you should be considered for our special young man.
