​Lupa is a lovely, 5.5 year old Malinois cross Collie who is looking for a very special someone to call her own. If you have a soft spot for clever, sensitive dogs and enjoy the rewards of building a relationship based on trust, Lupa might just be the companion you’ve been looking for.

Lupa is very intelligent. She is incredibly quick to learn and loves mental engagement. She thrives when she has a job to do and is the type of dog who will truly look to her owner for guidance once that bond is established.

Because of her mix, Lupa is naturally highly strung and carries a nervous energy. She views the world with caution and needs an environment where she feels safe and secure. She requires a calm, predictable home where she isn't forced into overwhelming social situations.

She needs a home where her boundaries are respected. If she chooses to retreat, she should be allowed that comfort without pressure.

Lupa needs time, and potentially several meetings to figure out that she is safe. We are looking for someone who understands that gaining a dog’s trust is as rewarding as we do.

Previous experience with working breeds or nervous dogs would be a significant advantage.

While she needs a calm environment, she also needs a person who can provide appropriate mental stimulation and training to keep her mind busy.
