Dukie
Dukie is currently in a short term foster with one of our team and he has been the perfect house guest.
He is people friendly, dog friendly and he seems to be cat friendly. Dukie is an amazing young lad but he is still learning about the world and is taking his time getting used to sudden noises or unfamiliar sights. In his current foster home, out and about on his walks, he wants to say hello to people or dogs that he meets. However, he prefers quieter areas for his walks, without traffic thundering past him or very busy streets. It’s still all a wee bit too much for him at times. Dukie is still building his confidence. He enjoys the company of another dog and we feel that Dukie could do well living with a confident dog but this isn’t essential as long as he gets out and about meeting dogs. Dukie is entire and will be neutered in his foster to adopt home once he is old enough. His lead walking skills are his biggest training requirement and so we are looking for someone who can continue his basic training including his lead skills. Dukie is clean in the house, as long as he has his regular exercise and toilet breaks during the day and later at night. He hasn’t shown any guarding behaviours towards food or toys. He currently sleeps in the hall, outside of the bedroom and he sleeps very soundly through the night. In fact he sleeps soundly during the day too! Dukie has been tested a little to see if he can be left for very short periods alone in the house. He seems to be able to cope. However, we are looking for a home for him where you are around the majority of the day because he is just a baby after all. If you feel you could be the right human for this stunning young boy please complete our enquiry form with as much information as you can on why you feel you are the best fit for this lad. To apply for the handsome Dukie please complete the following enquiry form telling us the type of home you could offer him and why we should consider you. |
